I’m a software engineer in North Carolina. I studied computer science at Appalachian State, and since 2022 I’ve been at Inmar Intelligence, where I started out building microservices on Hadoop as a new grad and now serve as tech lead and scrum master for two teams, most recently leading a division-wide migration to OAuth 2.0 and Auth0.

Most of my work lives in distributed systems and the infrastructure behind them: event-driven Go microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud architecture on GCP. I tend to end up owning the things that can’t be allowed to break, like identity and auth across an entire division, financial processing pipelines, and platforms handling multi-terabyte healthcare datasets. I’m also deep in the AI side of engineering, not just using the tools but setting the standards and guardrails that took two teams from experimenting with agents to shipping with them in production daily.

Outside of work I build things for myself: lately a social recipe platform with AI-powered imports, and algorithmic trading bots. Systems that run unattended with real money on the line have to be resilient by design, and that’s the kind of thing I like building. Back in college, C and computer systems were what hooked me most, and I keep working at that level on my own time.

When I’m not coding, I’m usually at the gym, reading, or playing video games.
